As the Team Lead for WTG Service Contracts in the department Procurement O&M Offshore and Major Spares, you will be responsible for developing and managing a high performing international team to procure WTG Service Contracts e.g. Service & Maintenance Agreements (SMA) and Operational Support Agreements (OSA) for RWE Renewables global offshore windfarm projects, during both the operational and development phase.
You will also be responsible for the development and the implementation of procurement category strategies for WTG Service Contracts, for procurement support for the offshore operations Design & Implementation (D&I) team as well as for the compliance with RWE governance / policies for procurement.
Your Tasks:
- Developing and managing a global procurement team to perform all strategic procurement activities in relation to wind turbine generator (WTG) Service Contracts (SMA & OSA)
- Providing procurement support for the Offshore Operations D&I (Design & Implementation) team in early stages to secure contractual arrangements for future service & operations
- Developing & implementing a global Procurement Category Strategy for WTG Service Contracts and developing framework agreements with key suppliers
- Implementing & maintaining a pro-active Stakeholder Management with all relevant departments and a reliable Supplier Relationship Management with wind turbine OEMs
- Ensuring strong cooperation with other RWE procurement departments
- Continually driving improvement and efficiencies measures together with Offshore Operations
- Making an active contribution to RWE Renewables KPIs
- Reporting into the Head of Procurement Operations & Maintenance Offshore Wind and Major Spares.
Your Profile:
- University degree in economics, engineering, or natural sciences
- Several years of working experience in Procurement on an international level including proven leadership-, management- and project management skills
- Ideally several years of experience in a comparable role in the wind or PV industry
- In-depth knowledge in the area of Procurement of WTG Service Contracts and/or large scale construction / service & maintenance contracts
- Proven track record in team management & change management
- Ability to work and perform under high pressure and in bring structure to various demands towards Procurement
- Strong strategic and commercial awareness combined with both analytical skills and the ability to drive complex Procurement projects
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills plus distinct intercultural competence
- In-depth knowledge of local suppler base, offshore wind technology and procurement systems and tool
- Advanced knowledge of SAP desirable
- Ready and willing to fulfil an extensive international travel schedule
- Fluent English in writing and spoken. Other languages beneficial
