As Team Lead for Consent Nordics you will have responsibility and accountability for the delivery of permits and final consent for the projects in the Nordics. The role encompasses line managerial responsibility as well as functional responsibility. You will be expected to work actively in and with the projects. 
You will have to ensure  sufficient headcount and allocation of FTE to projects in the Nordics and ensure timely and qualitative deliveries. You will also drive the permitting strategy, engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders involved in the permitting process. The role reports to Head of Offshore Development Nordics. 


Your Tasks:

  • The role is expected to spend approximately 30% of the time as a line manger and 70% actively contributing to the work.
  • Manage Consent managers and Land transaction in the region. Ensure sufficient headcount and allocation of resource to projects in the region including recruitment.
  • Ensure a consentable and buildable project design envelopes in the permitting that corresponds to the needs of the business. 
  • Responsible for ensuring and promoting best practice and strategy for permitting of the projects.
  • Support development project leads in the Nordics to drive each project through to route to market / right of way to secured/final consent.
  • Ensure lessons learned from previous projects are implemented into next development projects.
  • Support internal processes such as various reporting.
  • Develop staff and ensure the team has the right competence and ability to deliver the work in a timely manner at high quality. 
  • Responsible for development plans and salary updates for the employees in the team.
  • Deliver and maintain the necessary consents for the project
  • Deliver and maintain necessary land lease agreements, as appropriate.
  • Deliver and maintain necessary third party agreements, including any Planning Performance Agreements.
  • Manage project consent team personnel.
  • Coordinate and manage project development activities and interface with other core project staff and other project teams where appropriate
  • Responsible for contracts with Lead EIA and Planning Lawyers.
  • Liaison and co-ordination with project partners, key consultants and other supporting contractors, e.g. National Grid.
  • Liaison activities with government and other key stakeholders (e.g. offshore regulators, county administrative board, statutory consultees, relevant sea users) , including support for PR messaging.
  • Liaison with JV partners as appropriate
  • Ensure consent and land risks are identified and appropriately managed
  • Manage the consenting budget and deliver workstreams on schedule


Your Profile
We believe that you who are applying for this role have a masters degree or equivalent as well as very strong competence within permitting of large infrastructure projects in the Nordics.
