Our products are used on marine platforms (ships and boats, above and below the water surface) and the products have the task of compiling information from sensors, data links and weapon systems in order to give the operator the best opportunity to make the right decision.
Your role
Head of Systems Development is an opportunity for you who want to contribute to succeed with our business. This department plays an important role in our project execution and Systems Development, mainly within the Naval domain. You will be a part of the Design management team within business unit Naval Combat Systems. You will lead the Systems Development management team, which today includes six first line managers.
Together with your team you will:
- Build competence and capability to succeed with our business
- Cooperate closely with important interfaces, both within the Design organisation and outside
- Defining and driving both short and long-term goals in line with the business strategy
Daily work will be varied; developing people, business and ways-of-working. You will also be involved in discussions regarding product development and the work related to getting our systems its capability out to customers. The main tasks within the Systems Development management team are:
- Responsibility for test, integration, commissioning, integrated logistics support and training; including ways of working and process adaptions valid for the entire business unit
- Monitor, analyze and act upon the short and long-term need of competence to succeed with our project deliveries
- Supply the right competence at the right time for successful project execution, both teams and resources
- Responsible for financial result and follow-up of the department
Your profile
Your leadership and cooperation skills are what matters most. Your drive to develop this department to meet the organisation’s needs, both short and long-term, will be highly valued. A technical background is of importance to be relevant for this position and the challenges you will phase. Experience from an industry with low volume series and/or advanced products is a merit.
Required skills:
- Documented experience in leading and developing people
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Interest in driving business development, optimizing ways of working and enhancing overall efficiency.
Desired skills:
- Experience of leading leaders
- Systems Engineering experience
- Knowledge and experience of project management
Your personality and previous experience will play an important role in leading this department. Building relationships and gaining the trust of your stakeholders will be keys to succeed. The complexity requires many competences to deliver the wanted capability and this is a part of the challenge. Your interest to understand the business and wish to develop our ways-of-working will be of great importance. The focus will be to deliver on time with a transparent communication throughout the whole organisation. Knowledge of our 9LV product is a bonus.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
