The Magic Starts At Six
At Six is a contemporary art and design hotel with 343 rooms and suites, including our Masterpiece Suite and 32 longstay apartments adjacent to the hotel. In the house you will also find - the wine bar Blanche & Hierta, At Six Cocktailbar and the large international restaurant Dining Room. There is also a gym, wellness and 3000m2 flexible event and meeting space. At Six is run by Petter Stordalen's hotel group Nordic Hotels & Resorts, together with the neighboring hotel Hobo, The Thief, Copperhill, Yasuragi, Villa Copenhagen, Sommerro, Kämp hotels and the American Line.

As the Director of Sales you're responsible for Sales, Inhouse Sales and Marketing. The Sales Team is made up of three people; including one MICE Sales Manager and one CORP Sales Manager and a Marketing Coordinator. Inhouse sales is made up of eight people including roles such as: Project Coordinators, Sales Agents, Reservations Agent and Inhouse Sales Supervisor. The department works together to ensure the highest possible occupancy and level of service. The teams work independently but maintain close collaboration to ensure an efficient and powerful result.
The role and our philosophy
We're currently in the search for our new Director of Sales. The role entails the ultimate responsibility for the entire sales process. You're expected to proactively drive revenue optimization within all segments and to always look ahead in order to set strategies for the hotel together with the team managers. As Director of Sales you're responsible for leading and delegating the daily workload for the department. It's also within your responsibility to follow up the departmental budget and targets. Using your experience, you support and coach all of your team members and make sure the right conditions are in place. Your work is both operational and strategic. Travel will occur.
You're a part of our strategic management team and will contribute to setting targets and the development of the hotel. You are an important part of our success!

So, who are you?
We're looking for you who has solid experience with sales and the hotel industry. We would see it as a great advantage if you have previously worked within the premium segment in the industry. You're a seasoned leader with several years of experience leading teams within the industry. You have a wide knowledge of systems and experience with examples like Cenium and Cvent. A higher level of education is advantageous. You have good knowledge of both the Swedish and English language, written and spoken.
You are driven, forward-thinking and outgoing. Sales and meeting with people is the most natural thing in the world to you. You see opportunities within every problem and are used to working both strategically and operationally. You appreciate when no day looks like the one before and feel right at home where your work has a lot of variety.
Requirements for this position:
  • Solid sales experience preferably international sales, with a proven success record
  • Experience within the hotel industry, preferably the premium segment
  • Experienced leader, having managed both managers and employees
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
