About the role
As a Commercial Projects Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading multistakeholder projects, showing a high level of expertise in navigating through a matrix organization.
The location of the role is either in Espoo, Finland or Solna, Sweden. We work in a hybrid model.
Your key areas of responsibilities will be:
1. Commercial Project Leadership
- Act as the commercial project director for selected decarbonization/development projects (e.g. hydrogen, new nuclear, renewables, power supply and PPAs)
- Coordinate dialogue and negotiations with customers related to assigned projects
2. Commercial Model Development
- Develop commercial models for selected projects
- Analyze investment options and ownership structures for enabling the decarbonization of corporate customers through both internal and external development projects
In addition, experience and familiarity with at least one of the areas below:
3. Financial Analysis and Business Case Development
- Lead the business case creation and development of financial models to serve as the basis for final investment decisions
- Identify and mitigate risk, coordinate with risk owners to ensure comprehensive risk management
4. Contractual Structure and Financing
- Coordinate the development of contractual structures, including power and hydrogen purchase agreements with B2B Sales
- Develop and implement ownership structure and financing models in collaboration with the Finance and M&A teams
- Support securing external funding, including government and EU grants, to ensure the commercial viability of the project in collaboration with Political Affairs
About You
You are a holistic thinker, capable of developing projects to benefit all stakeholders and customers. You are also comfortable with and can excel in uncertainty, and have enough seniority to hit the ground running.
To succeed in the role you will possess:
- Academic degree in engineering, finance or business administration
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, and/or a relevant role (preference for energy or infrastructure focus)
- Experienced project leader with a track record of delivering large and complex projects and ensuring their commercial viability
- Strong understanding of investment proposals, risks and benefits and commercialization aspects
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and manage multiple stakeholders
- Self-driven, pro-active and ability to work independently
- Exceptional networking and collaboration skills
- Fluent and confident English communication skills, Finnish and/or Swedish is a plus
It is highly advantageous if you have experience in one or more of these areas: equity and lender funding processes, M&A, investment management and calculations, especially within the energy industry.
