Odeon Cinemas Group, Europe's largest cinema operator with well-known brands like Filmstaden, Finnkino and ODEON Kino is now looking for an experienced communications and press relations professional to join its team as PR Manager in Helsinki or Stockholm!

As PR Manager you will be responsible for the development and management of modern external communications and PR work, including planning, design, production, implementation, evaluation, crisis communications, and press relations in Finland and Sweden as well as Norway. This position is a front seat to the heart of the Nordic film scene as part of OCG's close-knit and collaborative Nordic team, where work is done with passion. You will work together with the Commercial Director and other stakeholders in three markets.

Main responsibilities:
Planning, developing, and managing the company's external communications/PR work is one of your main responsibilities. You will get to work on new project launches and help them get the best possible visibility. You will be responsible for the company's Nordic media relations and coordinate media communications produce press releases, and online and social media content, and actively develop cooperation with the press and PR partners. You will also manage crisis communications and coordinate media contacts. You will work with the customer service team, helping them to serve customers in the best possible way. Your approach is proactive, and you dare to challenge the management of the company on communication issues. You understand how the different Nordic markets work and knowledge of the film industry is a big advantage. You can live and work either in Finland or Sweden. Odeon has offices in Helsinki and Stockholm and a hybrid working model.

What do we expect from you?

  • At least 5 years of experience in communications and PR in an international company.

  • Experience in both traditional and modern communications and content production.

  • Previous experience and understanding in designing, implementing, and developing a communication strategy.

  • Very strong oral and written skills in Finnish and Swedish. English language skills are also a prerequisite for the role.

  • You understand the impact of your role on the success of the company and therefore have a goal-oriented approach to everything you do.

  • Experience with the Nordic business culture. Experience in the film or events industry is an advantage.

  • A solution-oriented and calm approach even under pressure.

  • Willingness to travel between Finland, Sweden, and Norway, approximately 2 times per month.
