The role
As Sports PR Project Manager you work closely with the sports department, Swedish Head of Press and on air talents to ensure maximum, and the right exposure, in media concerning our sports rights and broadcasts. You are main point of contact for Sports PRoject related questions as well as manage the plans for internal and external presentations and reporting. This is a very versatile role focused on press and media relations and developing collaborations with media outlets for PR concerning our sports rights. You will be based in the Stockholm office with the Marketing & Communications team. This is a temporary role for parental leave from March to December. You will report to the Swedish Head of Press.
What we're looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that's why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you'll have at least some experience in the following:
- At least 3 years, preferrably more than 5 years, experience in PR and/or journalism.
- Good knowledge and experience in sports journalism.
- You need strong and creative writing, and presentationskills.
- You must have documented experience in developing and executing PR strategies, writing pressreleases and pitching stories to media.
- You are fluent in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
- As a person, you are self-going, open-minded and creative, with ability to handle challenging issues, crisis or situations. You are result-oriented, able to use organizational skills and a structured approach to accomplish your tasks. You have good communication and networking skills; you are collaborative, supportive, and able to manage several stakeholders across functions and cultures.
It's a bonus if you have:
- A passion for sports in general.
- Knowledge in social media.
- Great social skills.
- A can-do attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work humbly with others.
- Have had more senior roles in your career and are comfortable with being a spokes person when needed.
