What about the role?
Hedvig is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. You'll be a part of a team that has a lot of different experiences and knowledge. We work tightly together and continue to learn from each other. By joining Hedvig, you will find many development opportunities within the accounting field. You will work closest together with an Accounting Lead, who is responsible for the entire accounting operations and will help you grow in your role.As a person you thrive with doing a little bit ofeverything and are not afraid to interact with others outside of your team. You will have ownership of ongoing accounting and expense handling amongst other different tasks. To succeed in this role it's important that you've worked with or studied accounting. We're looking for someone who is really interested in accounting and wants to develop and grow together with the company.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ownership of ongoing accounting and expense handling
• Month-end reconciliations
• VAT-declarations
• Support with audit
• Support with year-end reconciliation and annual reports.
• Ownership of handling intangible assets
• Oversee general accounting operations
• Strengthen the internal controls by documenting the processes and accounting policies
• Participate in other ad-hoc projects, such as warrant programs or atomization projects.
What about you?
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or has worked with accounting
• Not more than 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Swedish accounting standards
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process is preferred
• Has a can-do attitude and likes to take ownership
• Highly organized and result-driven accountant who is eager to learn
• Prestigeless, can and will help where needed
• Interest in automatization and knowledge within excel
