Job Description
Jr Product Developer
As a Jr Product Developer you will have an important role in the exciting and complex process of creating products for our collections to be sold in all our sales countries - all over the world. Together with a tight team, you work with identifying and developing collections according to current and upcoming global trends.
Your main responsibility is to support the Product Developer, to develop our products for our customers. You will be an important link between Designers, Pattern Makers and Planners throughout the entire process and ensure everything runs smooth! Here you will get the chance to be part of our daily operational tasks, such as sample handling, as well as be involved in setting long-term goals for the team. You work as a project manager in a fast paced environment where no day is the same.
Product Developer
As a Product Developer you will be a key player in the exciting process of creating products for the H&M Group. Together with your team, you will identify and develop collections according to current and upcoming global trends.
Your main responsibility is to develop the most current and commercial products at the best possible price, in a sustainable way. You will work closely with Designers, Pattern Makers and Planners as well as with the production team throughout the entire process to make this happen.
As a Product Developer you will set and drive assortment, product development and component strategy for your department. This includes both short- and long-term strategies in line with the overall assortment goals. With a strong fashion intelligence, salesmanship, and sense of commerciality, you can identify seasonal keys and act on relevant tendencies. In this role you work as a project manager with multiple communication touchpoints.
Qualifications
Jr Product Developer
- Preferably minimum one year of experience from product development/ buying
- Education within Textiles/Buying/Product Development
- Result-oriented and a business growth mindset
- Have passion for fashion and products with a good sense of trends
- Having a structured way of working and good at taking initiatives
- A strong team player with great communication skills
- A prestigeless doer
- Curious to learn more and have a growth mindset
Product Developer
- Minimum five years of experience as a Product Developer/Buyer
- Education within Textiles/Buying/Product Development
- An eye for current fashion trends with strong fashion intelligence
- Have passion for products and product development
- Strong material and component knowledge
- Being a natural leader with good project management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Salesmanship and result orientated
- A strong team player with great communication skills
