The Sales Excellence Director role is acting as a strategic and trusted advisor, transforming and developing our sales strategies, processes and performance to drive business growth. The Sales Excellence Director is responsible for the strategic execution of equipment and services sales, constantly extrapolating business insights that accelerate segment priorities, optimize operational processes, increases seller productivity and capability, coaching to drive profitable growth and market share.
The role will work on initiatives to improve internal processes and partner with relevant sales, product teams to identify solutions; and driving creation of quality, value and process change initiatives and delivering the BA strategy regionally.
The role reports into the Senior VP AirTech EMEA and can be based at one of our main locations in EMEA.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Manage Centre of Excellence (CoE) and Segment teams that are in our emerging markets and solutions
- Sales forecasting for CoE opportunities - accurate as possible and delivered on time with 3 year outlook
- Manage and develop the application knowledge together with the application development team
- Engage with Country Sales managers to drive Sales Excellence and efficiency
- Ensure sales pro-activity is focused towards agreed strategic markets or local identified opportunities
- Work with Sale governance models including Terms and Conditions
- Pricing and profitability management
- Initiate agreed proactive campaigns in target markets / customers
- Collaborate with Marketing
- Manage M&A opportunities
- Liaison with RnD and Product Management
- Share best practice between countries and other regions
- Monitor and report on competitor activity
- Collaborate with Regional Directors to determine sales investments in order to create capacity for pro-activity
- Maintain level of skill whereby all applications can be engineered with sound solution designs minimising both technical and financial risk for Munters
- Ensure specified key accounts are developed whereby repeat business is achieved 2 out of every 3 years.
- Ensure correct use of CRM within sales community and explore sales efficiency tools such as those utilising Artificial Intelligence
- Maintaining good customer relationships through effective communication.
Key competencies, background & Experience:
- Strategic and strategy to execution mindset required
- Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment, organised and able to influence and work collaboratively with the salesforce
- Ability to drive Sales Excellence
- Strong project management capabilities
- Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing or a related field
- Proven track record in Sales leadership role with a deep understanding of sales strategies, processes and best practices
- Experience in business development for emerging markets and solutions
- Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools
This role requires about 50 to 60 travel days per year.
