Saab, Inc.'s Corporate Affairs team is seeking a Public Relations/Communications student looking to grow their understanding of communication practices in a global company, with an emphasis on Social Media. This is a part-time (20-29 hours/week), paid co-op/internship position based in Saab, Inc.'s Syracuse, NY office for Summer 2024.
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-Ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.
As a Corporate Affairs intern for Saab, Inc., you will:
Gain substantive corporate communication experience supporting efforts across digital/Social Media and content development.
Create and maintain a digital media library.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Receive clear project expectations, constructive feedback, and structured time commitment.
Compensation Range: $18.00-$20.00
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in communications, public relations or related discipline.
Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
Strong writing and editing skills, familiarity with AP style a plus.
Social media and/or digital marketing experience.
Basic photo and video editing experience.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Personable— comfortable meeting and interacting with new people.
Proactive and organized with high attention to detail.
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
