Job Description
Step into a role where your communication strategies shape the future of technology at H&M.
We're on the hunt for an articulate Communications Manager, ready to step in during a maternity break and take the helm of our Tech function's strategic internal communications.
The role:
You set the global tech and data communications agenda, anchored with the leadership team and colleagues in our tech function, as well as communications in the group, brands and functions. Through great communication you create awareness and engagement among the function's colleagues and put H&M's Tech function on the map as a crucial contributor to the company's success.
As Communications Manager for the Tech function, you will lead a team of three Communications specialists. The Communications team within the Tech function sits within the People team, and you report to Head of People for Business Tech.
Responsibilities:
  • Accountable and responsible to lead & develop team of Communication Specialists.
  • Working close with Group Communications & Tech leaders to unify internal communication strategies and channels.
  • Translate Tech strategies into global customer & colleagues focused communications plans that support internal & external positioning & growth.
  • Support internal stakeholders in creating compelling content & communications strategies.
  • Implement a communicative leadership program, based on existing tools in the company, providing tech leaders with the relevant tools and support.
  • Execute on the overall plan by creating content in close collaboration with the leadership team and colleagues in the function, the Group and across the company, and distribute it with appropriate timing in relevant channels depending on audience.
  • Support and help create a culture that encourages tech colleagues globally to share insights, learnings and best practices to contribute to our business results.
  • Drive crisis communication matters related to the tech function in close collaboration with Group Communications.
  • Contribute with strategic and operational communications to support employer branding activities, focusing on retaining and attracting talent.
  • Assure ongoing and long-term collaboration, dialogue and alignment with the communications and change communities in the company.
  • Though communications content, channels and topics help bring Tech closer to the rest of the business.

Furthermore, we believe you are and have;
  • A relevant education within the communication field or comparable work experience.
  • Excellent communicator with relevant experience in the tech industry,
  • Proven experience working with communications in a matrix organisation and large transformation initiatives.
  • Experience from combining long-term focus while leading, influencing and inspiring others.
  • A strong track record of project management.
  • Inventive problem-solver with experience in advising senior executive leadership.
  • Excellent English verbal communication and writing skills. You know how to consolidate information and produce content at a high pace.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of change communication and change management.
  • Experience in crisis communications.
  • Experience in managing internal communication partners such as strategy teams, leadership teams, transformation office as well as external agencies and events partners.
Additional Information
This is a full-time 12 month Maternity Cover working on site in the H&M head office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. Since we are a global firm, there are also lots of interaction with our international colleagues worldwide.
