ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems' Graduate program is your chance to get to spend time in not only your home country's part of the business, but also in two other countries in Europe while learning about our business and the organization!
If you are a Swedish resident, and if you have a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management or equal with a specialization in quality and operational management, Supply Chain management or production (or will have in time for Program start) you are eligible to apply - and we are looking forward to receiving your application!
The ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Graduate Program will start in September 2024, and will run for a total of 24 months on a permanent contract.
We promise that you will get to know our company as well as to learn from specialists in the industry. You will be part of the day-to-day business and be working in dedicated and engaged teams. The first 6 months you will spend in the country where you are recruited, and then relocate for your first international placement in Belgium for about 6 months, followed by another placement for an additional 6 months in Romania. This set up will give you a solid understanding of what it is like to work in an international environment, as well as invaluable experience from working in different countries and cultures, with all that brings.
As a Supply Chain graduate within ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, you will embark on a dynamic journey to support and drive strategic improvements across our manufacturing operations. Working closely with factory management teams, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, quality, and performance in alignment with our strategic goals.
This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in a wide range of operational excellence and strategic management areas, including but not limited to Lean Production, Hoshin Kanri, and more, where continuous improvement is key, and the identification and minimization of waste is essential.
Key responsibilities for the position are:
- Collaborate with factory management teams to identify areas for operational improvements and strategic development.
- Assist in the deployment of Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support the analysis and mapping of current processes using tools such as Value Stream Mapping to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and projects in line with the Hoshin Kanri framework.
- Engage in knowledge management practices to ensure valuable insights and best practices are shared across the organization.
- Assist in conducting benchmarking studies and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Support the adoption of digital transformation technologies and practices within manufacturing operations.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to gain expertise in relevant methodologies and tools.
Moreover, for this role, it is advantageous to have an interest and background in development, implementation and utilization of operations-related systems, especially Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and understanding the business process needs related to these systems. This allows for the interesting opportunity to support the digitization of operations by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing improvement potentials that can be enabled by those digital systems.
During the Program you will be in continuous contact with your dedicated mentor, and you will also be assigned a local host, who will help you to settle in, wherever you go. We believe that people make it all happen and want to see you get a good start with us! Together with your mentor and the rest of the Program team you will discover your strengths and development areas, and together figure out what would be the best step for you after graduating from the Program and where in the organization you would be able to continue grow both yourself and ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. The Graduate Program is only the beginning!
About you
You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management or equal with a specialization in quality and operational management, Supply Chain management or production with an interest for operational excellence, quality, project management. You are an ambitious and aspiring team player, have a continuous improvement and strategic mindset, strong change management skills, a holistic approach to assigned task, energetic and self-driven with the ability to drive results in a complex matrix organization. Moreover, you are enjoying both hands-on and strategic tasks and being fluent in English, both written and verbal.

You have an open and positive mindset, and you understand that development takes commitment and dedication.
