About this opportunity:
Product Engineering Unit Radio (PEU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson's radio products and solutions. PEU Radio is a global organization, within Engineering Unit Hardware (EUHW), collaborating across many sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson's strategy, taking a leadership position in 5G.
Radio Quality Assurance is responsible for strengthening the feedback loop from products in field to early phases in design and take a customer-centric approach to release quality products on time with minimum HW returns and SW rollout blockers. Radio Quality Assurance enables the resolution of cross-portfolio quality issues through fact-based data-driven insights and ensures PEU Radio is a learning organization.
You will drive Radio Data Analytics/engineering use cases, automation/industrialization of Data Analytics applications and tools and engage the development teams to accomplish relevant data analysis within PEU Radio, PEU RU Software, PEU Silicon, Customer Experience and outside, suppliers, and production.
The position is based in Kista and may require travel to other PDU Radio sites in Sweden, China and Canada as well as to customers and Ericsson supply/repair sites.
What you will do:
You will be part of a Radio Data Analytics team responsible for proactive analysis of radio product behaviour in field, identifying trends, and solving problems thru Data Analytics. The team has a competence in Data Analytics and Radio/RAN domain. The team has a variety of stakeholders in the Radio organization and works on requests from both RnD and Product Line.
- Create quick feedback loops of radio product/feature performance and utilization to dimension radio products to customer needs.
- Enhance the ability to forecast by analyzing radio product performance patterns and trends across networks.
- Show the way of using modern Data Analytics programming language, visualizations tools and AI/Machine Learning.
- Building Data Analytics applications and automation to enable “data self-service and easy insights”.
You will bring
- 5+years of experience within R&D
- Great knowledge in radio system or radio development
- Good knowledge in Radio/RAN data, DCGM, KPI/PM/CM, radio logs
- Good knowledge in agile ways of working
- Good knowledge of creating requirements for system, products, applications, and tools
- Experience of data engineering, data infrastructure and data pipelines (Kubernetes, JupyterHub, Spark, Machine Learning tools).
- Experience of designing User Interface for visualization (PowerBi, Kibana, Grafana, etc)
- Experience of HW quality metrics (Return/Alarm/Restart rate)
- Experience of leading use cases and tasks, experience of leading others.
- Self-motivated, driven, results-oriented team player and collaborator.
