About the programme
For 30 years, we have worked internationally to strengthen women in areas affected by war and conflict. Now, we are also run a project in Sweden to address the worrisome development in Sweden's most vulnerable areas. In recent years, the level of violence, crime, gang shootings, economic gaps, segregation and honour related violence and oppression has risen in these areas.
- In February 2024, we started up a new leadership training in Sweden. It will run for three years, with three different groups of participants, each involved during one year
- WithOur leadership training, young women with a migration background who live in Sweden's most vulnerable areas will gain skills to support them tobecome the future female leaders of Sweden. Becoming leaders who will work for positive social development in their communities. We know together we have the potential to create change!
About the position
This position entails overall responsibility and budget responsibility for the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation's leadership programme in Sweden. The project leader will belongs to the Learning and Education Unit.
In this role you will be responsible for project managing, facilitating and following up our Leadership dev programme.

Examples of work tasks include:
The Project Manager shall ensure that the following tasks are carried out in accordance with the internal and external requirements that apply at the time:
- Overall strategic and operational responsibility for The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation's leadership programme for young women with a migration background.
- Co- Lead, manage and develop the leadership program with a focus on method and content, result and goal follow-up as well as communication regarding the leadership program in close collaboration with the team.
- Budget responsibility for the leadership program.
- Responsible for goal follow-up, reporting of results, and analysis to donors.
- Identify potential contributors and write and seek funding from private as well as institutional donors to secure long-term funding for the leadership program.
- Proactively work to develop content and streamline processes in order to ensure the quality of our programs.
- Responsible for planning, implementing, developing and evaluating digital and physical workshops, training, and training for leadership training.
- Recruit participants.
- Developing reports and proposals and communicating the programme concept and results (and eventually future programmes) for different audiences and donors.
- Understand and work with fundraising
You will work closely with our Leadership Development Program team and report to the Deputy Secretary General.

About you
To be successful in this role we see that you are results-oriented and proactive as well as creative. You enjoy teamwork and have a genuine interest in project management. You like planning and implementing training, also online, and are used to assuring quality by follow-up and learning from mistakes. You have experience in supporting a target group on their journey as change agents and know that there are many ways to learn and grow. You are communicative and good at networking.
You need to at least have
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience such as project management, coaching, and leadership
- Relevant education in social science/education/gender studies/peace and conflict/international relations/human rights or law.
- Fluent in English and Swedish
- Well-grounded in gender issues/feminism and knows how to navigate issues of anti-racism/discrimination
- Experience from conducting adult education.
Merits

- Experience in proposal and report writing
- Understand Swedish migration background (direct or indirect) but also roots in Sweden, preferably an upbringing in a suburb
- Good communications skills
Terms & Conditions and what we offer
You will join a team of 150+ dedicated Kvinna till Kvinna colleagues who fight for women's rights in more than 20 countries affected by conflict. This position is based in our head office in Stockholm, and you need to have a valid work and residence permit to apply. Here, about sixty of us work with programme management, communication, fundraising, advocacy, and support to the rest of the organisation. Through regular digital meetings, we stay in touch with our colleagues abroad. This role also includes occasional international travel.
This is a full-time substitute position until the end of January 2025 with the possibility of an extension. Access as soon as possible.
Our working week is 37.5 hours; these working hours are flexible and goal oriented. We also apply a hybrid working model. We are covered by the collective agreement and offer occupational pension and insurance accordingly.
