The role
We're on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to join our team at inriver. As a Project Manager, you'll be the go-to person responsible for overseeing and coordinating the successful delivery of our software projects. Your main gig will be planning, executing, and wrapping up projects within tight deadlines and budgets, while making sure we hit all our project goals and objectives. You'll use the best tools for the job to clearly communicate objectives and progress, as well as influence employees, clients and partners to deliver projects on time, on budget and within scope. You will play an integral part in building a culture of accountability and an agile response for everything yet to come.
For this role, we need someone who can articulate an inspiring version and keep all the details in order. Someone who believes in clear expectations and driving success through transparency, someone who is invigorated by challenges and engaged with team to overcome them. Understand the importance of effective communication in order to ensure timely deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Collaborate with all stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and what needs to be done. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation and budget estimates.
- Project Execution: Lead project teams to execute projects effectively and efficiently. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams at inriver, and external implementation partners. Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction.
- Resource Management: Allocate project resources appropriately to ensure efficient utilization. Coordinate with functional managers at inriver to assign team members to specific tasks, considering their expertise and workload.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively manage risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the QA process together with our internal technical experts. Ensure project deliverables meet the defined quality standards and customer expectations. Conduct thorough quality checks, test software functionalities, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, change requests, and meeting minutes. Prepare regular project progress reports and present them to internal stakeholders at inriver, as well as during project meetings with the client and implementation partner.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices within project management methodologies. Share lessons learned and implement changes to enhance project execution and delivery at inriver.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years practical experience with Project Management, especially related to SaaS implementation and platform integration engagements.
- Demonstrated expertise in Project Management tools and techniques, including Project Management Software (JIRA, Asana, Trello, or other related platforms) and scheduling tools to track resource allocation and milestones.
- Experience managing complex projects utilizing Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with process improvement to help the team run more efficiently.
- Experience working with cross functional teams to meet delivery deadlines.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience with process improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma are a plus.

- Excellent time management skills ensuring things stay on track and determining lead time to make sure things are getting out on time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective technical writing skills and strong interpersonal communication.
- Strong analytical skills to assess project risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Ability to understand and communicate technology terms to non-technical entities.
- Internal drive and accountability to ensure the team is meeting timelines outlined for deliverables.
