At Vilja user experience is a key part of our strategy; together with the product team you will gather insights about our users to redefine and elevate the user experience of our products and services. Our services span across multiple touch-points and platforms: MyPages, Backoffice for several different products, mobile as well as on-desk, and they serve multiple users: B2C, B2B, Customer Service, Operations etc.
We are a small, flexible and friendly tech company where your contributions will truly matter. You will be taking the role as our lead designer, actively spearheading Vilja's customer experience and innovations going forward.
What you will be doing
As a UX Designer at Vilja, you'll develop a deep understanding of our customers' needs and pain points, serving as a design expert for our Product and Development teams. You'll use these insights to create solutions that solve our customers' and end users' needs in smart and elegant ways and at the same time create long-term business impact. And when our Marketing team needs to tell the story visually, you'll be there to support them.
You'll collaborate closely with our CPO, product owners, business stakeholders, customer success managers, engineers and perhaps especially customers to plan, prioritise, and deliver excellent customer experiences and user interfaces for all our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Excellence: Create innovative solutions across our product range, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints. Leverage your skills in research, user experience, interaction, and visual design to deliver robust solutions and contribute to our new design system.
- User Advocacy: Keep the user at the forefront of everything we do. Advocate for the customer throughout the design process to ensure a user-centric approach.
- Product Vision: Contribute to our product vision by facilitating input from engineers, product managers and leadership. Working closely with our product team to prioritise and scope work effectively.
- Outcome Focus: Ensure your designs align with defined outcomes and success metrics from the start, keeping a balance between delivering exceptional customer experiences and meeting business objectives.
- Strong communicator: Your work and presentations inspire teams towards action and to empathise with the user.
- Strong collaborator: You have experience working closely with engineers and product managers to oversee the implementation of designs, ensuring a seamless and high-quality product experience.
Show, don't tell - Applicants must provide a portfolio of work as part of their application.
Note that this is a hybrid position, so you will be expected to regularly be in the Stockholm office (our normal rotation calls for three days a week).
Who you are
- Experience: You've been designing for 5+ years in a relevant role (UX/UI, product design, digital design). You know what it takes to develop great customer experiences for both end-customers and professional users.
- User-Centric Practices: You conduct user interviews, testing sessions, facilitating internal stakeholder workshops, and prototyping. Design Thinking comes naturally to you.
- Mapping complex experiences: You compile design artefacts (e.g. user journeys, scenarios, ...) to inform both strategic and operational decisions.
- Visual skills: You are great at combining typography, color, layout, and modern user-interaction patterns into strong visual communication and UI's, while staying true to our brand.
- Tool Proficiency: You have extensive experience working with Figma and the Adobe suite.
- Languages: English is a must. We're a global company and English is our default company language. Swedish fluency is a strong bonus, as most current customers are in the Nordics and you will interact heavily with customers.
