Your role
In your role as a Mechanical designer, you will be part of the entire development process from concept design to creation of the final product. This includes product improvement, life cycle management and communicating with sub-contractors. Your daily work consists of sharing your knowledge and embrace new technology such as new manufacturing methods and process improvements.

Your profile
You have a Bachelor Degree, Master Degree or equivalent with focus on mechanical engineering and/or technical design. It is preferred that you have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical design, especially design for machining, as well as good knowledge of CAD modeling, document management and change management. Experience in electromechanical design is a merit since many of our products include electronics. We work in cross-functional teams with systems, electronics and structural analysis engineers. There is also a huge focus on CAD/PLM-development and MBD-development in the department.
We believe that you are an ambitious and creative person who wants to work in a social team, and have the ability to take initiatives and responsibility. Since we often collaborate with colleagues from different disciplines, we recognize good communication skills as a major success factor.
As we work in an international environment, it is important that you can express yourself well in English, both oral and written.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

You will be part of the Hardware Engineering department that develops and designs the hardware for signals intelligence and electronic warfare systems with the aim of protecting the next generation of platforms eg. GlobalEye and Gripen.
