We are currently recruiting for and Health & Safety Manager Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will be responsible for overseeing Health & Safety and compliance for Scandinavian sites including office and retail units.
As a Health & Safety Manager for SCA you will be accountable for the H&S agenda, including security, loss prevention and work environment. In this role you will be responsible for risk assessments, training, implementing and maintaining Health and Safety, ensuring best practice and compliance in line with country regulations across all sites working collaboratively with logistics, facilities, store and SSC colleagues. The role requires some travel to our Stores in Scandinavia.
- Overall responsibility Responsibility for the H&S agenda and accountable for setting a clear plan including actions for business development within the security and work environment area based on analysis and in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Evaluate and improve and update processes and tools within H&S for stores and offices. Adapt to country specific legislations in Scandinavia
- Ensure compliance with H&S policies in all stores and offices in SCA
- Take full responsibility for assigned projects from planning, execution to follow up. Collaborate with team members to implement the plan with the highest level of operational excellence.
- Train store employees on H&S policy and procedure and ensure compliance
- Budget responsibility including reporting and audits for H&S area
- Responsible for all external suppliers' contracts including and invoices
- Support in re-structuring and changes in stores and for new store openings
Health & Work environment
- Together with internal stakeholders set the yearly action plan for work environment for the physical work environment, for each Store
- Responsible for the Work environment committee meetings for all Store
- Secure internal processes, follow up on and investigate incidents reports and support the business
- Assist management in the investigation of employee policy and procedure violation
- Share best practice across Stores and support in implementing changes
Safety & Loss Prevention
- Continuously follow up and monitor KPI's connected to Loss Prevention including redemption plan
- Second line manager support Loss Prevention team members regarding local regulations, CCTV cameras and police reports
- Attend and support the EU agenda by attending forums as SCA representative
- Responsible for overall crisis management and ensure policies and procedures are updated and implemented
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the business and the external security community.
- Onboard and train new LP team members
- Responsible for fire protection including fire equipment, evacuation plans and processes
Store and staff engagement
- Visit stores on a regular basis. Interact with customers and staff to generate key insight of how to improve the business. Share, involve and educate the store operations and HQ team to understand the insight for them to be able to put into practice
- Reassure the implementation of training in all stores. Collaborate with Learning & Development to create a training calendar.
- Strengthen internal communication through best practice sharing, joining team talk on a routine basis and facilitating workshops/events to involve staff members
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations with HQ and stores. When required, coaching, mentoring, and training store teams within H&S
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Certified security manager education and/or certified Risk management education
- You have approximately 3-5 years of experience within one or several of the areas of Security and Work environment
- You have former experience to lead projects from planning to completion stage with measured results
- You have great knowledge within Excel and PowerPoint
- You communicate fluently within English both verbally and in writing
- You can travel at least 10% of your time at work.
- Previous experience retail is meritorious
- Previous experience from working in global international companies is a plus
