Title and Summary
Director, Consulting Business Development (Retail/Commerce and Financial Institutions)

Data & Services comprises of a diverse and dynamic team of experts who enjoy working in a goal-oriented and collaborative culture. As a member of our Business Development team, you will be on the frontline - building excitement and generating demand for our unique services - while partnering with solutions experts to achieve the desired end.
About The Role:
As a key member of our Business Development team, you will be at the frontline of generating excitement and demand for our unique solutions and forming successful lasting client relationships. You will be instrumental in driving the growth of our Retail & Commerce customer segment (e.g. retailers, airlines, hotels, consumer & packaged goods companies). In addition, you will be responsible for managing and expanding existing customer relationships with some of our key Banking clients in the Nordics and Baltics.
You will be an active team member who contributes to sales targets and opportunity generation and closing with Mastercard Advisors. Whilst you are not expected to be a subject matter expert in the payment cards industry, you will demonstrate expertise in consulting sales management experience and professional problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive driving new business with existing financial services customers and establishing new client relationships within our Retail & Commerce customer segment
Taking ownership of the sales process, from prospecting to executing commercial contracts, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales cycles.
Ensure full delivery of services to clients together with product teams
Working with Mastercard colleagues and clients to identify new business opportunities and ensuring alignment among stakeholders
Create relevant and customized solutions for our clients leveraging various Mastercard Data & Services capabilities and assets
Understanding client's business needs and solving for the client's unique problem
Responsible for achieving sales targets, revenue goals, and sales projections, consistently delivering outstanding personal performance.

experience & demonstrated excellence in a B2B sales role.
Proven self-starter with record of success in team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated experience in selling solutions to c-level clients
A customer first attitude, capable of uncovering customer needs and crafting innovative global customer strategies.
Strong networking skills and a high degree of confidence initiating contact with new prospects & existing customers to generate and qualify leads.
Exhibit strong relationship management skills to drive revenue growth and expand buying centres, fostering lasting partnerships with the client.
Proven self-starter with record of success in team-oriented environment.
Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Strong communication and persuasion skills, both written and oral.
Excellent analytical skills
Experience in consultative solution sales and Business Development
Solid track record for delivering on objectives
Experience in payments and cards business is an advantage
