The Business Controller – Innovative Medicine Nordics is responsible for partnering with and supporting country, functional and therapeutic area Business Unit leadership across the 5 countries of the Nordic cluster in the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical business. The role is responsible for driving finance standardisation, optimisation and deployment in the 3-tier Finance model, whilst providing optimised decision support, analytical value creation and resource optimisation for a business with a combined turnover of nearly $600MM. This role reports to the Finance Director for Innovative Medicine Nordics.
What you’ll do.
Business Partnering
· Strong business partnership with the Nordic countries leadership teams to achieve Innovative Medicine’s Nordic vision. Active contributor to the Management team.
· Influence business leadership in financial decision-making; Drive focus on value and contribute to the growth of the business together with other members of the management team, Departmental heads, Nordic management and Mid-Sized Markets Finance community.
· Provide constructive challenges and champion value creating growth opportunities.
· Lead and supervise performance against business plan commitments (e.g. sales, FTE, OPEX, DSO, CAPEX)
· Bring an external focus and establish connections with internal and external partners that drive business performance.
· Participate in and lead EMEA and cross-sector initiatives.
Financial Planning & Review
· Be responsible for financial planning of the business plan, including market updates and trends. In addition to the overall coordination and consolidation, this includes insightful financial analysis and scenario-thinking to drive strategic prioritization and innovative approaches.
· Engage with the business to identify and support new business opportunities.
· Lead the periodic financial performance reviews & budget variance analysis providing an overview of performance to the Management team and regional leadership teams.
Compliance
· Comply the J&J WW financial, HCBI, transparent and Business Conduct procedures and drive accountability throughout the organization.
· Ensure compliance with local regulations.
Target
· Attract, develop and retain top talent.
· Actively champion a deep collaboration between all finance groups (e.g. CTC, GS).
· Be an inspirational leader; who encourages people to reach their potential and have an external and customer lens, and ensures Credo Values are demonstrated in the day-to-day interactions of the team.

· This role is a key member of the Country BU Finance team, collaborating closely with business leaders so applicants must be collaborative and dynamic in style, agents of change and always seeking to improve the way things are achieved, employing and driving the team to apply a forward-thinking analytical mindset.
Qualifications

To be successful, you demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a matrix business locally and regionally/globally. You have a demonstrable history of developing strong business partnerships and successful collaboration. Further requirements include:
Qualifications:
· Degree level qualifications.
· Fully qualified Accountant, with relevant post qualification work experience.
Languages:
· Strong English language skills both speaking & written.
· Other European languages desirable but not essential.
Experience Required:
· Broad based FP&A and business partnering experience preferred – prior commercial / Operating Company Experience strongly desired.
· Experience of working in a regional/ global organisation with matrix business relationships.
· Proven track record of high performance and driving process improvements across a complex business environment.
· Previous people management is a plus.
· Ideally familiar with Johnson & Johnson worldwide procedures, practices and systems.
