We are now looking for Parts Coordination Management Trainee to join our dynamic PCM team working on providing premium service for customer spare part requirements. We play a crucial role as the link between customers and various Wärtsilä departments. This is a great opportunity to grow as a professional within the maritime/energy industry. The trainee period is for 12 months, and the location is Gdansk, Poland.

 

 

What will you be doing?

 

As our Parts Coordination Management Trainee, your tasks will revolve around supporting PCM Teams with their daily tasks and getting involved in our global organisation.

 

 

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Acting as a contact for spare parts quotations, orders, deliveries, and non-conformities.
  • Coordinating with customers and various departments involved in the spare parts delivery process.
  • Handling and coordinating quotes and orders according to working procedures and guidelines, and local requirements.
  • Following up with the supply chain of parts deliveries according to the agreed process.
  • Providing global support for spare parts (24-hour service), including weekends.
  • Escalating issues within the expertise using the internal network.
  • Using the internal network to escalate issues that may arise within the area of expertise.

 

 

The below will enable you to succeed in this role:

 

  • 0 – 3 years of work experience in customer service, logistics, spare parts order, or related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with computer systems and attention to detail.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Additional European language skills will be considered an advantage.

 

We are looking for someone with an active interest in spare parts and logistics, a positive mindset, and a genuine interest in building strong customer relationships. A clear and structured approach to work and a focus on quality are also important.

 

During the trainee period, we will work with you to develop your skills and enable you to move into one of our PCM teams. This is a great opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of how logistics is managed in a global company.
