In the role of System Engineer, you become part of ABB Energy Industries and work on delivery projects for customers, participating in all project phases from startup to commissioning and after sales support. We primarily base our project deliveries on ABB's leading DCS platform, 800xA.

Energy Industries is part of ABB Process Automation business area, serving customers in heating-, water-, nuclear power-, pharmaceuticals-, food and chemical industry in Sweden.

The position is located in Västerås.

Your responsibilities

• As a System Engineer, you work in delivery projects for end customers, where the projects vary in size and may include tasks such as preparing system layout, hardware and software ordering, installation, configuration, integration, or upgrade of control systems, including work on networks and IT/OT equipment, IT/OT security, virtualization (VMWare/HyperV), Windows/domain.
• The delivery is carried out in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements, including preparation of system and test documentation for verification/validation through internal testing, as well as FAT and SAT/commissioning with the customer.
• You closely collaborate with our customers alongside the project manager, participating in project- and technical meetings and site visits.
• You are aware of risks and take responsibility for your actions while also feeling responsible for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Ideally, you have a background in industrial IT/OT and experience working as a System Engineer, preferably within the Swedish process industry.
• Knowledge in the following is advantageous: VMWare, Windows Server (2008-2022), Windows 7/10, Networks and network equipment, Domain knowledge, Firewall knowledge.
• As a person, you are self-driven, detail-oriented, and structured, with good collaborative skills.
• You have good customer focus and the ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally.
• Fluent communication in both Swedish and English is required.
• A valid driver's license (B) is necessary as business trips are part of the job.
