Our new Drug Product manufacturing facility, Sweden Biomanufacturing Center (SBC), supports our biologic commercial and clinical pipeline, including being the primary launch site for biologics.

In order for us to continue to develop and be at the forefront of our broad business area, we are now looking for a driven and experienced SHE-Risk & Compliance Lead to join us on this exiting journey.

What you’ll do

The SHE-Risk & Compliance Lead has an important, central role in the Health and wellbeing of employees and our organisation. Manage Site SBC´s Risk & Compliance work. Collaborate multi-functionally within the business and across the SHE & Risk functions both locally and within Biologics region.

You will lead and coordinate the SHE Risk & Compliance work at SBC. Driving and ensuring that all departments works in a preventive way according to existing processes. You will support and coach managers and leaders in the SHE management system, and support managers and employees to develop their skills within the SHE & Risk area. Further, you will drive development and lead adherence to processes by process confirmation and offer support to the business when introducing new working methods and standards. The SHE-Risk & Compliance Specialist work is varied, you will work independently and take initiatives in complex issues. Furthermore, you will be the site representative in the AstraZeneca internal SHE, Risk & Compliance network locally as well as globally within the Biologics region.

Other tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure SHE processes are in place and that these comply with overall guidelines and applicable legislation
  • Manage and coordinate Site SBC´s Risk & Compliance work
  • Coordinate SHE Risk reviews
  • Coordinate and drive Risk & Compliance work locally, participate and represent Site SBC on regional level
  • Represent SBC in the development, updating and implementation of key initiatives within SHE issues
  • Be a role model and drive the construction of the SHE & Risk culture
  • Analyse data and identify trends and reporting of SHE events 
  • Responsible of reporting SHE, Risk & Compliance KPI´s locally as well as above Site
  • Leads and performs SHE-related investigations and improvement work
  • Lead SHE-forum at SBC
  • Conduct appropriate site SHE trainings as required
  • Delivers excellent CAPA (corrective action…) completion performance regarding SHE and Safety incidents

Essential for the role

An academic education with a focus on work environment or corresponding level of experience through work is a must. Good leadership qualities, the ability to independently lead and develop your area of ​​responsibility as well as to contribute positively to the entire site's development. We believe you have experience of working with GMP, Business continuity and Risk management. Also:

  • Experience of working with Risk management preferably within AstraZeneca
  • Knowledge of relevant Swedish legislation and developments in the area of Safety, Health and Environment
  • Maintain own professional awareness and development within SHE
  • Experience of production and SHE management systems
  • To be able to communicate in Swedish and English, both speech and writing
