AdressAs a Service Engineer, you will focus on these responsibilities:
• To acquire the necessary knowledge needed to perform assigned tasks through in-house and on-the-job training structured by the department
• Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
• Perform field service/commissioning assignments as required for Propulsion products.
• Maintain current individual time sheets & expense records to support the timely invoicing of jobs to customers
• Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions
With customers.
• Conform with & abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures & instructions.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
• Be able to communication in English both oral and written.
• Teamwork ability.
• Basic safety knowledge.
• Willing to travel inside China frequently and outside of China if necessary.
• Be able to handle pressure and make decision independently when required.
• Electric and automation technical experience, hydraulic knowledge, communication nets and interfaces, sensors, actuators, auxiliary equipment, Computer skills, MS Office suite, etc.
• Technical high school diploma in electrics, electronics, automation. BS degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical, Electronics
• 3 years' work experience in marine industries or other heavy industries, field service or shipyard would be preferred.
• Propulsion, seal & bearing experiences will be a plus.
