Our Procurement Sustainability and Supply Chain Strategy department within RWE Renewables in is looking for a Senior Procurement ManagerSustainability and Supply Chain Strategy.
Here you will work in attractive, newly renovated and bright premises, while being part of a company that is constantly developing for the future in energy.
Main responsibilities
- Lead international Sustainability and Supply Chain Strategy projects
- Drive initiatives in the Sustainability space on behalf of RWE Procurement for wind and solar onshore and offshore global businesses
- Ensure alignment with RWE AG Sustainability agenda: define and implement necessary actions for RWE Renewables Procurement team to reach Sustainability Company targets
- Identify Supply Chain trends and evaluate business relevant insights of the Renewables market, suppliers and competitors
- Analyze supply and demand dynamics in the renewable energy infrastructures supply markets (e.g. WTGs, Foundations, Vessels, Power Equipment Solar and BESS etc.) and advise on best sourcing strategies
- Develop and present jointly with Category Management colleagues decision proposals and regular updates of the category strategies
- Design strategic concepts, risk management approaches etc.
- Collaborate and professionally engage with external and internal partners
- Ensure reliable and sustainable relationships with international stakeholders
Your profile
- Several years of work experience purchasing renewable energy infrastructure packages coupled with a strategic mindset and a genuine passion for sustainability topics
- University degree ideally in Engineering
- Ideally worked in Utility / IPP / Developers or supplier of major wind / solar packages (e.g. foundations, wind turbines, electrical / power equipment etc.)
- International work experience, hands on attitude
- Highly independent, systematic, quality- and goal-oriented approach to work as well as broad methodological skills
- Excellent and proven experience in project management and presenting skills as project or sub-project manager
- Team player with international experience and fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally (40%)
