We are now seeking a Senior Origination Manager ( Greenfield ) for Solar and Wind Projects - Sweden to join our growing international Renewables team. Together with experienced and driven colleagues across Europe you will become an important part of the team where you'll get the opportunity to join Uniper in a very exciting phase. We offer great freedom under responsibility with the possibility to work remotely. The location of the position is flexible, but you are expected to attend regular gatherings and meetings. We have physical offices in several locations around Sweden and our head office in Malmoe.

Your responsibilities
Your Main responsibilities will encompass:
  • Lead the sourcing of acquisition of Solar and/or wind project opportunities in Sweden from early stage development to ready-to-build (RTB).
  • Supervise analysis regarding project acquisition opportunities ( preliminary assesments, financial modeling.
  • Manage and Support the investment negotiations and execution of deals with Partners.
  • Supporting development team in securing and obtaining all necessary licenses and permits for construction and operation.
  • Building and leading a dedicated PV/Wind origination team in Sweden, in order to acquire projects along all stages, from greenfield to ready-to-build (RTB).
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with both private and institutional landowners in Sweden.
  • Identifying target areas within Sweden based on strategic goals and thorough analysis.
  • Conducting comprehensive feasibility studies, including risk assessment and financial calculations (DCF).
  • Working with internal support to clarify approval paths for project acquisitions and/or partnerships.
  • Representing Uniper RES in interactions with authorities and related entities in Sweden.
  • Keeping abreast of market developments in the Swedish renewable energy sector and informing management accordingly.

Further responsibilities include:
  • Building and maintaining relationships with Co-Development partners within the Swedish market.
  • Managing external Co-developers and/or service providers specific to the Swedish market.
  • Sustaining business relationships with landowners, permitting authorities, grid operators, regulators, off-takers, and other key stakeholders in Sweden.
  • Collaborating closely with existing Uniper business teams in Sweden (asset teams, trading/Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), finance, etc.) and enabling functions.
  • Building strong relationships within the development team, which includes developers, engineers, project-, contract-, and offtake managers, as well as a network of external development partners in Sweden.
  • Contributing to the establishment of an entrepreneurial, rewarding, and enjoyable work environment.
  • Undertaking any other necessary activities in the area, as required and by arrangement.
  • Reporting to the Head of Solar and Wind Development Sweden.

Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Uniper is part of Sweden's vital societal functions and critical infrastructure which is why this position may be subject to wartime placement. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Your profile
You have a relevant university degree in electrical engineering, engineering or comparable studies in engineering, business administration, economics, law or comparable studies. You also have several years (5-10 years) of work experience, and a proven track record of utility Solar and /or Wind project development in Sweden and/or experience in M&A.
You are also expected to have/ be
• Profound understanding of relevant market dynamics
• Excellent communication skills and high level assertiveness and communication skills in an international environment and the ability to build effective relationship at all levels.
• Appreciation for cultural differences
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in English and Swedish, other languages will be a plus
