Our Business Intelligence & Analytics team is providing consulting services to clients in the Nordic region from our office in Stockholm based on the latest technology leading platform providers such as Microsoft, Amazon and Google. The demand around cloud based analytical platforms is constantly growing and we are now looking for candidates with strong technical competence and a can-do attitude. You will take part in our client implementation projects to help and guide our clients to become more data-driven.
Data Engineers are the data professionals who develop and construct the corporate data eco-system. They are software engineers who design, build and integrate data from various resources, define data pipelines and design for data security and compliance.
Responsibilities for this role include helping stakeholders understand the data through exploration, building and maintaining secure and compliant data processing pipelines by using different tools and techniques. This professional uses various Azure data services and languages to store and produce cleansed and enhanced datasets for analysis.
About the role
As a Senior Data Engineer in our backend team, you will help to ensure that data pipelines and data stores are high-performing, efficient, organized, and reliable, given a specific set of business requirements and constraints. You will deal with unanticipated issues swiftly and minimize data loss. You will also design, implement, monitor, and optimize data platforms to meet the data pipeline needs.
A candidate in this role must have solid knowledge of data processing languages, such as SQL, Python, or Scala, and they need to understand parallel processing and data architecture patterns.
To be considered for the role, we see that you come with the following experiences and skills:
- Technical University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience as Data Engineer or similar role
- Familiar with Microsoft Azure Data lake, Databricks, SQL database and data warehouse solutions.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale ETL / ELT pipelines.
- Ability to integrate data from a variety of sources using integration and orchestration tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory).
- Fluent in Swedish and English with good communication skills.
