We are on the lookout for a Senior Commodity Buyer for a client.
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Commodity Buyer to drive success through strategic sourcing and supplier relationships.
Your Role:
•Build, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts ensuring they benefit the company.
•Engage in and lead the continuous enhancement of processes and systems, collaborating with teams both inside and outside the company.
•Maintain a professional, solution-focused, and business-minded approach.
•Foster teamwork and partnerships both within the company and with external partners.
•Drive the creation of strong, lasting supplier relationships.
•Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that match our criteria for cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
•Implement corrective measures when necessary.
•Conduct thorough research on potential suppliers and stay informed about industry trends.
•Keep a close eye on supplier performance and keep supplier information current.
•Ensure timely material deliveries and communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
•Join forces with various teams to achieve a commodity-based structure and take charge of commodity management.
•Develop and execute sourcing strategies and Commodity Business Plans.
•Handle special tasks as assigned by management.
Who are you?
•Profound understanding of purchasing practices.
•Experience in establishing and managing commodity structures.
•Strong negotiation skills.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
•Solid administrative abilities.
•Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
•Familiarity with SAP.
