Hub Planner is now looking to recruit a senior developer with a drive for solving problems using Node.js, Mongo and AWS to its MERN stack team in Stockholm!

The opportunity
You are a strong coder and you want to continue to code and contribute to the project on a technical level through new feature architecture & design, database performance optimization, scalability solutions, monitoring, package upgrades, security awareness and refactoring.
Using your strong technical foundation, you'll be supporting Hub Planner's overall business goals by building the product together with a global tech team (7 people, including developers, QA testers and DevOps). We're now looking to hire a person that will be based in Stockholm (the company's HQ), working close to the CEO.
Some of your key tasks:
● Code, primarily working in Node.js, Mongo DB and AWS
● Review and implement design patterns and software architecture for new and existing features.
● Lead the development and enhancement of our MERN stack SaaS platform.
● Architect and implement solutions that improve the scalability and performance of our applications.
● Identify areas of code for possible refactoring and improve code quality and readability.
● Refine and design new efficient pipelines in our continuous integration environment .
● Take responsibility for code deployments to staging and production environments.
● Identify & fix performance bottlenecks and errors proactively in the codebase and database
● Conduct code reviews through pull requests with developers.
● Mentor and guide other developers, promoting best practices and coding standards.
● Oversee testing and bug fixing as required from QA team
● Create and manage technical documentation
● Stay up to date with new developments in the web technology space
● Proactively address security concerns and enforce coding standards such as OWASP
Over time, we see this role growing into a lead developer role, so this is a great opportunity if you're interested in the leadership path in a scaleup environment.
Who we're looking for
● Proven experience as a Senior Node.js Developer in a MERN stack environment. Minimum five years experience.
● Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and MongoDB.
● In-depth knowledge of design patterns and best practices in web development.
● Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
● Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
● Strong commitment to code quality, documentation, and best practices.
● AWS experience
● Deep understanding of data structures and data sizes for optimizing data flow
● Experience of taking the lead (formally or informally) in a technical setting
● You can plan and strategize your own technical work
● Excellent problem solving skills, demonstrating analytical as well as creative thinking
● A great listener & having strong communication skills (incl non-technical stakeholders)
● Attention to detail
● Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
● Fully fluent in English, oral and written
● Previous experience in SaaS development or scale ups
● Ideally some experience from project or resource management software, but not a must
● Motivated to grow into a leadership role within a few years
● Integrity and strong ethics
● Pragmatic and proactive
● Swedish citizen or permission to work in Sweden
