Our Global R&D function is looking for a Project Manager for Continuous Product Development, Power Wheelchair Department. As our Project Manager, your job will be leading cross-functional teams to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. The projects differ in size and include mechanical, electronic and embedded software development. You will lead the work from planning until handover to the production facility. In this role you will work with many different parts of our global organization, within R&D as well as other departments within Permobil group.
As a Project Manager you will:
- Plan and execute product maintenance projects
- Manage team members
- Manage project budget, scheduling, and planning
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to obtain input and buy-in, as appropriate
- Conduct status review meetings with team members and stakeholders
- Provide reports and documentation on project progress
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project related risks
Your background
To be a successful Project Manager you need to be driven, social, and well-organized. You are independent, have strong leadership skills and can lead teams towards delivering defined goals. As a person you are structured and have analytical & problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. You understand the importance of communication within your project team and with other stakeholders. We strive to be an open organization, sharing our knowledge and working with continuous improvements. Permobil is currently on a journey to apply more agile principles in our way of working, therefore it is meritorious to have such skills and experience.
Qualifications
- University degree (Master or Bachelor) in engineering or equivalent.
- Few years of working experience as a Project Manager or a team leader.
- Good communications and writing skills in both Swedish and English.
- Experience from the medical device industry or automotive industry is considered a merit.
