Fiber optics play a crucial role in our systems, utilized to sense and monitor all activities around our cables, providing early warnings and facilitating the easy detection of faults-ultimately securing the supply of green energy to society.
Our cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Karlskrona, Sweden, produces high voltage and extra high voltage power cables. This facility also houses the largest AC & DC electrical test labs in northern Europe, along with Victoria, our purpose-built cable laying vessel. Our Fiber Optics team is responsible to design our highly intricate Fiber Optics systems, both integrated and independent, ensuring their resilience throughout production, installation, and the service life of our cable systems.
About the Role:
As a Fiber OpticsProject Manager, you'll manage a small, dynamic, close-knit team dedicated to crafting Fiber Optics systems that bolster the robustness of our high-voltage cable systems. You'll play a pivotal role in expediting the tasks of the team across the entire scope of responsibility both in tender and projects, deploying the expertise of the team to address the Fiber Optics aspects in an optimal manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive the Fiber Optics team to deliver results in accordance with the customer requirements in both tenders and projects.
- Enable the team to support all aspects of the operation (production, installation, testing) with Fiber Optics competence
- Manage the engineering related coordination with customer, sub-supplier and internal/external partners.
- Plan and manage resources in continuous alignment with the schedule commitments in both tenders and projects
- Co-manage our team challenges, workload and bottle necks
- Manage the communications with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify the risk & opportunity, make contributions to the continuous improvement works
- Work continuously to update/establish suitable routines to ensure the smooth and efficient performance of the team

Qualifications:
Your CV should highlight the following:
- A relevant college or engineering degree, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 to 5 years professional experience in engineering or project management positions.
- Experience with fiber optic cables manufacturing is an advantage.
- Experience with submarine cable systems is an advantage.
- Proficiency working with the Microsoft Office/Office 365 suite.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English-spoken and written.
- Knowledge of the German language would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
