We are looking for a Principal Research Engineer within Theoretical Chemistry.
The position
The position involves research in Theoretical Chemistry, with a main focus on performing advanced computer simulations in quantum chemistry for the design of organic molecules with desirable properties, such as capacity to store solar energy or transform solar energy into mechanical motion.
The person we need
The person we are looking for is enthusiastic about the possibility to use computer simulations to solve chemical problems, and has the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration experimental chemists.
The following education, experience and expertise are required:
• PhD in quantum chemistry/Theoretical Chemistry and broad experience in quantum chemical calculations.
• Experience in programming and in scripting for efficient data analysis.
In addition, the following experiences will strengthen your application:
• Previous research on the aromaticity concept in organic chemistry.
• Previous research involving photochemical modelling.
The workplace
The position is located in the Theoretical Chemistry Group at the Bioinformatics Division at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

100% for 11 months and 20 days.
