As our Nordic Digital Storage (DS) Sales Manager, you will have an integral part in ensuring we stay on top of the market and continue to enrich and simplify the consumers' lives.
Samsung continues to grow and is now looking for a Sales Manager for our Digital Storage Team. This is a new role where you will lead a team of one Product Manager and one Key Account Manager in building, maintaining, and developing sales of DS products in the Nordic markets. The role reports to our Nordic Director of this business unit, Jakob Hultkvist.
The team sits in our Office in Kista but be ready to travel around the Nordic countries for face-to-face meetings with partners and colleagues.
Role & Responsibilities (Job Description in WD-posting):
You will have the full responsibility for the Digital Storage business, and play the key role in developing- and implementing business plans on both strategic and operational level. You will act as the main contact for Samsung Digital Storage Division headquarters in Korea as well as drive Sales with your own dedicated accounts.
Part of the role will be to define and implement a Pan Nordic go-to-market strategy based on Market analysis (Market Sizing, Market- and Consumer trends, Tech Trends), Competitor analysis, and Customer & Channel analysis.
It is your role to ensure that:
• Revenue targets are met
• Marketshare targets are met
• Profit targets are met
• Other Key Performance Indicators are met
And lead your team to proactively:
• Create annual/quarterly/monthly sell-in and sell-out plans to ensure profitable revenue- and market share growth on the market and within each account
• Create sales- and campaign plans by product with each account and update on a weekly basis in our internal systems and upon request to internal counterparts
• Review & Manage sales progress and channel stock on a weekly basis and take appropriate action
• Gather Voice of Customer relevant to the category and market and report in a regular and structured way
• Share insight and requests with Product Management Organization and other internal counterparts
• Create, execute, and review channel marketing plans together with CE IT Marketing organization
Skills & Qualifications ("Additional job description" in WD-posting):
We are looking for someone who already has experience with sales in the Digital Storage or memory industry. To be a good fit for this role personality-wise you should be goal-oriented and work hard to reach your goals. You should be someone who enjoys a challenge and solving problems. It is not necessary that you have formal leadership experience, but you will need to be empathetic and organized. Someone who is able to set a clear plan for a project with milestones, final goals, and budget.
You need to have:
Sales background with a proven track record
Experience from the Nordic Digital Storage Market
Excellent communication skills in English
It is a benefit if you also have:
An Academic degree in a relevant field
Either Formal or informal sales leadership experience
Formal training in sales leadership, coaching, or negotiation
Fluency in any of the Nordic languages
