Our Product Development BESS & Hybrid team at RWE Renewables – Europe & Australia is responsible for developing innovative BESS & Hybrid technologies and making them ready for development at scale across Europe. We are looking for a Manager Product Development BESS & Hybrid to work with us shaping tomorrow’s European green energy landscape.
Your tasks
- Manage the development of an innovative BESS & Hybrid product for renewable energies:
- Closely engage with the onshore development teams across Europe to identify needs
- Drive the development of the product involving experts across multiple departments (e.g., commercial, legal, engineering, etc.)
- Co-lead first implementations and subsequently make the product ready for use in all relevant markets
- Cooperate and communicate with and consult internal and external key stakeholders for the Product Development, including key executives, with support of management
- Create product proposals that support the objectives of the department, setting goals, scope, timeline, budget, KPIs, etc.
- Communicate the product proactively and effectively within the company, disseminating progress/ findings and gathering additional ideas
- Develop of renewable energy projects with new technologies like storage or hydrogen in collaboration with the development team of the respective country from early stage origination through to the investment decision and handover to the construction team
- Conduct initial profitability analyses of projects
- Draw up schedules & support the approval processes as part of scheduling for the entire project in coordination with the local development team’s project manager
- Prepare all documents required for project approval
- Represent the organisation and projects outside the company and develop and maintain a network to relevant stakeholders
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree in energy technology, engineering, business administration, renewable energy, science or related subject
- 3-4 years professional experience in project management – ideally in renewables development or management consulting in Europe
- Very good analytical skills
- Solution oriented and independent working style
- Excellent team-player with very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English with other languages (out of Italian, German, French, Polish, Swedish, Spanish, Dutch) being a plus
- Willingness to travel on regular basis
