About the role: The Financial Accounting and Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and accuracy of the reporting and accounting, as per IFRS as well as the local statutory guidelines and supports non-finance stakeholders within Nordics countries.
The Financial Reporting and Accounting team (FRA) of Novartis Nordics is mid-size team in various locations. This role is part of small Finance team based locally in Stockholm-Kista which covers financial reporting and accounting processes for Novartis Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
In your role you will closely collaborate with other finance process-based teams in other locations where Novartis Nordics finance processes are located i.e., mainly NOCC Prague and Hub Hyderabad and global team in Basel and with various local and global stakeholders (CFO, business analysts, technical Accounting and many more).
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• You will ensure timely and high quality internal and external reporting in the area of responsibility including but not limited to monthly/quarterly reporting based on IFRS requirements, statutory annual financial statements in collaboration with external providers, various national statistics and tax information.
• You will perform tax Accounting and calculations following local rules, support compliance for tax related matters, reconcile related balance sheet accounts and participate in regular balance sheet reviews
• You will closely collaborate with our advisors to ensure local tax and statutory rules are adhered to and annual tax returns are prepared, reviewed and submitted on time.
• Participate as FRA representative in projects as required bringing insights and understanding around Accounting and tax matters.
• You will support running the statutory audit process with our external auditors during annual and interim audits and ensure timely preparation of all relevant inputs and in adequate quality and drive solution for action items, in strong collaboration with NOCC and above FRA functions.
• You will support continuous improvement projects to provide highly effective and efficient end-to-end financial processes and be involved in implementation of ESG reporting and S4Hana implementation in Nordics.
• You will have excellent focus on reliability and accuracy of financial compliance and controls.

Begäran

Essential Requirements:
• University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant
• A few years of experience in accounting and finance, with understanding or local tax/statutory regulations and IFRS
• Strong focus on compliance
• Very good knowledge of SAP-FI
• Fluency in English and any Scandinavian language

• Experience from working in multi-national company, highly engaged in stakeholder management
• Strong in ability to prioritize and manage deadlines.
• Flexible mindset, comfortable in managing and driving change
• Self-organized accountable team player with good people skills
• Potential to develop and interest in relocation in the future
