Data Science Lead is a leadership role within the Analytics function. You will be responsible for leading and managing the Data Science team, a diverse and global team, including the people, the processes and the deliveries.
The Data Science team's mission is to empower the business with innovative Data Science solutions to enable data-driven decision making, optimize business processes and drive transformative growth. These Data Science solutions range from deep insights and automations to advanced predictive analytics and AI development. Together with the other data and analytics teams, this team also pushes the agenda on data quality, data literacy and data culture at EasyPark.
Your main responsibilities:
People
- Coach, mentor and develop the team and its individuals
- Identify the team's hiring needs and the skills needed to recruit and develop talent, as well as take ownership and improve the recruitment process
- Be present with the team and ensure clear expectations, values and team goals
- Lead by example, improve and protect the team culture and live by the values of EasyPark
- Ensure a safe, positive, joyful and healthy work environment for the teams
Processes
- Be responsible for team's quarterly planning to ensure a good balance among ongoing and new projects, ad-hoc requests, and personal development
- Be accountable for the team's delivery, in accordance with goals and targets
- Ensure good communication within the team, with other data and analytics teams, and with business stakeholders
Data Science Deliveries
- Set the Data Science strategy and roadmap
- Help the team identify business needs, translate them to technical requirements, scope and build scalable Data Science solutions
- Make sure the solution is continuously effective by proactively obtaining feedback from business and implementing suitable MLOps
- Set best practices throughout the whole Data Science lifecycle including problem navigation, requirements analysis, code quality, model and data documentation, deployment, offline and online evaluation, etc.
- Reinforce and nurture a data-driven culture in the organization together with other data and analytics leads

Desired background
We don't think one size fits all, but here are some of the things we think a successful candidate might have
- 5+ years of experience working as a data scientist, especially in ML and MLOps
- Experience building and managing a team
- Experience with strategy planning
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- English is our business language, so we expect you to be very used to and comfortable both speaking and writing in English
This role is based at the EasyPark headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
