Responsibilities
• Benchmark and plan adoption of FinOps capabilities and practices across Snow• Represent Engineering at internal FinOps forums and be a representative Snow in the FinOps Foundation• Monitor and administer Snow's product license & cloud costs, identifying cost drivers and implementing optimization opportunities• Deliver training on cloud cost management to enable technical and business stakeholders• Administer cost management tools• Present product cloud costs to gain stakeholder approval for data-driven recommendations and optimization opportunities• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies related to cloud cost management• Contribute to the roadmap for cloud management aligned with strategic goals
Requirements
• Credible level knowledge of public cloud providers and services• Demonstrable experience and deep knowledge of cloud cost management and best practices• Continual improvement mindset and successfully gaining senior stakeholder approval• Previous experience in a technical/engineering capacity operating cloud services• Nice-to-have skills such as cost model creation/administration and optimization with SaaS vendors or ITAM experience
