Accountabilities:
As an Associate Principal Scientist, you will design and develop sustainable formulations for our future clinical trials and commercial products. You will work closely with a team of colleagues in a multi-skilled environment to design, develop and deliver high-quality clinical and commercial formulations. You will also provide disciplinary scientific leadership, coaching and mentorship for less experienced scientists. You will continue to develop self as an expert in the scientific area of product and process design, including maintaining a strong publication and presentation record.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Strong scientific background with a PhD in e.g., chemical engineering, pharmaceutics, or similar subject area.
- Good understanding of physicochemical principles of importance for design and development of immediate and controlled release pharmaceutical products.
- Experience of design and development of clinical and commercial pharmaceutical solid oral dosage formulations and processes.
- Experience of development of products using continuous manufacturing.
- Experience of applying modelling and simulation to deliver value in development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical drug products.
- Proven technical leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of presenting scientific findings at international conferences and a proven record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed papers.
- Excellent English, both written and spoken.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Understanding of in-vitro and in-vivo product performance.
