We are looking for 1-2 teaching assistants in Engineering Materials. The position We are looking for 1-2 student research assistants (amanuenser), who, if necessary and by agreement, will assist the composite course, and the bio-composite course coordinators in their teaching. The tasks can involve lesson teaching, lab supervision, correction of reports. Participation in research work within composite materials is part of the work. A student research assistant is allowed to conduct work in teaching, administration or participation in research or artistic development work. An employment as an assistant may not exceed 50% of full-time. The person we need Qualified for employment as a student research assistant is only those who are admitted to education at the undergraduate or advanced level. The employment is directly linked to the basic courses for which the division of Engineering materials is responsible. The employment is also linked to the research projects conducted by this division. It is considered an advantage if you are studying at Linköping University at an advanced level and that you can demonstrate documented good knowledge in the areas you are expected to teach in. Furthermore, it is especially an advantage if you have experience of previous teaching, as well as being available for assignments throughout 2024. The tasks are varied and can arise at short notice, which requires flexibility and that you are available at the university. You must also be responsible, thorough, service-oriented, have pedagogical skills and be interested in each subject area.  The workplace You will be employed in the department of management and engineering, and it will be a position shared between the Division of Engineering Materials and the Division of Product Realization. The Division of Engineering Materials conducts research focusing on the relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties of Engineering Materials. The division possesses a well-equipped mechanical testing laboratory and several instruments for microstructural investigation. The division of Product Realization spans design, manufacturing engineering and manufacturing technology and conducts research and education in these areas but highlights are in automation and digitalization in manufacturing. The employment The appointment time and starting date are determined by agreement. Salary and employment benefits Salary according to LiU’s central agreement on teaching assistans salaries.
