Key Responsibilities
As a UI Designer at our company, your main role will be to craft intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that enhance user experience and engagement across our digital products and services. Your day-to-day tasks will involve a blend of creative and technical activities including the development of design concepts, supporting in implementation, create design systems and principles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive user experience.
- Develop intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces for a diverse range of digital products and services, ensuring that each design meets both user needs and business goals.
- Collaborate closely with our UX designers and developers, playing a key role in the user-centered design process from concept to implementation.
- Create and implement consistent design systems and guidelines, ensuring uniformity across different platforms and devices while accommodating platform-specific nuances.
- Utilize your skills in visual design to enhance user interfaces through the effective use of typography, iconography, color, and layout.
- Contribute to the development of our growing Design department as a function, governance, methods, processes, guidelines etc
Bring your passion and specific talents into the Design team to improve our design way of working and best practices. Guide and coach other external team members to uplift their design thinking capabilities. Your contributions will be crucial in making our digital solutions accessible, engaging, and effective for our users, ensuring that each interaction is both enjoyable and intuitive.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel as a UI Designer within our team, you'll need a strong foundation in both the creative and technical aspects of digital design. Your portfolio should demonstrate your exceptional graphic design, interaction design, and illustration skills, showcasing a variety of projects that highlight your ability to create engaging and user-friendly designs.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills in graphic design, interaction design, and illustration, demonstrating your ability to create visually appealing and user-centric designs.
- You have a strong customer and user focus. You are driven by curiosity and passionate about user-centered experience design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar, enabling you to bring your creative ideas to life efficiently and effectively.
- Experience with responsive web design and mobile app design, understanding the nuances and challenges of designing for various devices and screen sizes.
- A good understanding of front-end development techniques and principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is advantageous, helping you to collaborate more effectively with developers and to ensure designs are feasible and implementable.
- You are an innovative problem solver and a collaborative team player.
- Bonus if you have previous experience working in a global B2B context at a company that is on an early transformation journey within either digital or customer experience.
