Job Description
As a Data scientist, you will be part of cross-functional product team, that develop data driven digital products that optimize business processes and improves efficiency within IKEA Marketing & Communication. We are creating a better customer experience across IKEA and across channels. In collaboration with colleagues across IKEA, you will build analytical features consisting of data processing and data pipelines. You will productionize analytical features and insights by creating reusable data that will help us to make operational and strategic data driven decisions.
Your responsibility and tasks will include:
- Design, develop and maintain data science models and infrastructures based on business needs
- Contribute to methodologies, accelerators or algorithms created for specific models or analysis
- Work together with different stakeholders across IMC/IKEA and secure that the insights and conclusions from data science are easily available
- Ensure application and consistency with relevant digital frameworks, principles, guidelines, and standards
- Continuously improve existing models and environments and keep up to date with the latest technology trends
- Improve data literacy across the organization through the example of your work and coaching cross-functional team members
- Development and deployment of tools, best practices, and templates to help consolidate, standardize, and accelerate key analysis and reporting, wherever there are opportunities.
- Expert in SQL with mastery of complex logic, coding best practices, query performance, and SQL-based data pipelines.
About You
We believe you are a tech-savvy, analytical thinker with a passion for data science, machine learning, and AI, who thrives on a mix of team collaboration and individual work. You should have experience in building and maintaining machine learning systems in a production environment. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of skills, such as problem-solving, data management, statistics, and software development. Although we will teach our specific business practices and procedures, we prefer someone who has applied their skills successfully in other contexts.

Qualifications
You have a comprehensive understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques and are able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation. You have a high competence in appropriate set of languages, technologies, and frameworks and with data modelling techniques and concepts. You also need:
- Master's degree in statistics, physics, mathematics, econometrics, computer science or equivalent, experience in digital marketing is a plus
- Experience working in equal or comparable position
- Good communications skills to explain advanced topics to different audiences
- Experience in building models, deploying and maintaining them in a production platform
- Deep knowledge of statistical analysis and probabilistic modelling or machine learning or optimization
- Coding knowledge and experience from agile way of working
- Ability to gather insights and translate them into actionable recommendations
